His reaction disappointed me greatly. I could see him being upset but turning his back on her and walking away? She didn’t deserve that. I’m still upset with him about that.
Another memorable scene was the one that forced Olivia to open up herself to herself. It’s when she criticized Brenda Davidson for ignoring her other child, Amanda, after her daughter Michelle was found murdered. Amanda’s running away was the wake up call she needed. Olivia got to see what her life might have been like if someone had intervened. And, she got to see it wasn’t about loving her less. It was a pivotal moment for Olivia, Amanda and Brenda.
I loved the whole Nina scene but one in particular was when she was in the van and talked herself down from hysteria to rational thinking. She’s a gymnast and used her skills to get out of her restraints. How a ten-year old could find this kind of focus...



I tried to be sympathetic as I can’t imagine the grief of losing a child. But, it’s hard to understand how you can ignore the remaining.
