Sci-Fi, fantasy and speculative Indie Authors Review discussion

This is the ongoing discussion thread for this BOTM sci-fi pick, so no spoilers here please. If the author would care to join in, that would be great.

Yay!! This book is a big fave of mine, because it gives a really detailed world, with both "hard" and "soft" sci-fi elements, and bringing up social issues like cultural pluralism. I'd really encourage people to read this, it's one of the few books that got me really excited reading it!

I've just joined goodreads and joined this group as it looks perfect for my tastes. This book club also seems like a fun place to read some new stories.
I've just finished chapter two of Lamikorda and really enjoying it. It's taking some time to get immersed as the world building is broad and I can't quite get the characters imaged in my head yet, but the plot is certainly solid right now.
Its early days though so in time my little niggles will pass as I get to know the world and characters better :). I'm excited to see how this story unfolds.

I hope you enjoy it Richard. A few people really seem to love it. I still have mixed feelings, but I hope I did a constructive review. Whatever, my overall opinion there's no doubting the Author is very talented. I'll be interested to know your thoughts.
