Karen | 162 comments Happy November All ! This month we will be reading Brooklyn which is a 2009 novel by Irish author Colm Tóibín.It won the 2009 Costa Novel Award, was shortlisted for the 2011 International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award and was longlisted for the 2009 Man Booker Prize. In 2012, The Observer named it as one of 'The 10 best historical novels'.
It was adapted to film in 2015.
I hope you can join me this month
Best wishes Karen : )

JennanneJ Finding the writing style a bit simple and straight forward. Rather interesting.

Mela (melabooks) | 26 comments I watched it years ago (at least I had thought it was years ago, but I see that the movie is from 2015, so it had to be in 2015 or 2016).
I remembered little but reading it now I am recalling more.

Hi Mela, I watched the movie last year and loved it too. I'm really enjoying the novel too and don't want the story to end.
