Book Trailers (tm) & Author Web Sites discussion

I'm Hugh, and I write science fiction novels for people that aren't into science fiction (turns out this is a larger market than science fiction novels for people that love science fiction!).

I created my own book trailer just for fun and ended up getting some great feedback. I think they're wonderful promotional tools.

Even more popular is the video of me opening my proof copy for the first time. I let the package sit in front of a webcam for 8 hours while people anticipating the book logged on and begged me to tear into it.

Eight hours... wow. I was afraid to look at my first book when it arrived, but I couldn't have managed to put it off for that long.

Hey I agree with you Gina.

I had the Post Master rip the box open for me in the middle of the post office :]

I persuaded my husband to do it while I had one eye closed and hid behind him :o)

The delivery guy knew me and was too excited to take the box to my home address. He brought it to my workplace so he could witness the event.
