You are welcome to nominate this, just make your intentions clear by saying "I nominate".

I nominate The Girl in the Glass Tower by Elizabeth Fremantle. It takes place in England where I will get to once my kids can handle spending countless hours in museums. (aka in 10-15 years. lol)

Reminder, as stated in the introductory comment, all nominations must include the country/city/place the book is set in. Nominations without will NOT be counted.
So far the only nominations that would be counted on the poll are -
The Girl in the Glass Tower
Sworn Sword
Reign of the Marionettes
The Seven Sisters
All other books listed have not met one or more of the nomination qualifiers mentioned in the introductory comment.

This book doesn't seem like it would qualify given that it is a memoir. Also, please remember to include the author in your nomination.

I'm not sure this book meets our genre requirements. Events must take place 50 years or more in the past. This sounds like a contemporary novel.

Because we are launching an Around the World challenge for 2020, I thought our first group read should have an Around the World theme. It's a pretty easy theme. Let's face it, it is the time of year where we all have so much going on anyway.
For January 2020, nominated books need to be a historical fiction novel that takes place in a place you have either traveled to or would like to travel to. It can be a country. It can be a specific city. When nominating your book, please make sure to include TITLE, AUTHOR, and the PLACE the book is set in.
REMINDERS
EVERYONE GETS ONE NOMINATION AND ONE SECOND - Please make sure you are clearly stating whether you are nominating a book or seconding a book. Commentary about books needs to be in the appropriate threads. When there is lots of extra chatter in this thread, it gets difficult for the moderators to keep track of which books need to be included on the poll.
NO SELF NOMINATIONS- Self nominations will be deleted and members will potentially be removed from the group.
For all other nomination rules and procedures, please see this thread-
https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
For all other past group reads, please see our shelf-
https://www.goodreads.com/group/books...
Nominations will close on 11/15.
