This is a small stretch, but the biography is about David Carr's daughter. He was a NYT reporter, and wrote Night Of The Gun about his crazy life. He died young, and in this book his daughter talks about finding her identity while tied very closely to his. She spends most of the book talking about her search for a job, bouncing around in different areas of writing, and finally becoming a documentary filmmaker. A little whiny, but I was surprisingly interested in it. I heard her interviewed on a podcast, and that inspired me to read the book - and I'm glad I did. (I also liked Night of the Gun, if you want a different biography!)
