I just wanted to start this thread and put everyone's mind at ease who might be thinking that the requesting books through your local library is something that is hard to do. It is not, and is in fact very easy. This should be something that can be done directly on your library's web site. No muss, no fuss.
Post here if your library doesn't seem to have this feature, and we'll see if we can't get you some help.
