It's a sequel so I'll have to see if the first book can fit anywhere. Other upside down images I found:

Shoot- now I'm trying to remember if I have it too. Was it one of their free ebook offerings?

Edit: I do have it! Thank you for reminding me. I'll put it down as an alternate.

I'm not sure, since we're looking at Kell from a birds eye view I don't think it really qualifies as upside-down. B..."

Thank you!! I actually found out the VE Schwab is only 32 now, so she was definitely in her 20s when the first two Shades of Magics books came out! Moving this to the advanced prompt!! And I've already bought the whole series, so I'm going to read them...I've heard so many great things!

message 37: by Crystal (new)

Crystal | 33 comments It's a little bit a stretch, but that one key is upsidedown enough for me, since I was planing on reading this book next year anyways.
The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern

message 38: by Pam (new)

Pam (bluegrasspam) I found one book that I'm considering: In the Distance In the Distance by Hernán Díaz by Hernán Díaz (I'm using the reflection as an upside down image.
It sounds like it could also be a less traditional book for the Western prompt.

Click "add book/author" then click the "cover" button before searching :)

message 47: by Juniper (new)

Juniper (jooniperd) Chances Are... by Richard Russo - most recent from Richard Russo

curious for thoughts about this cover...

the legs are right-side up, but the image is actually reversed. if you turn the book upside down, that would be the actual photo, and it's been inverted for the cover; the water should be on the bottom of the cover, with the legs coming up out of the water in a handstand - toes pointing up.

it was the first book that came to mind for this prompt, but it's kind of a meta interpretation of the prompt. 😂

message 48: by Juniper (last edited Nov 29, 2019 02:38PM) (new)

Juniper (jooniperd) a few from my GR bookshelf that might work:

The Mermaid and Mrs Hancock by Imogen Hermes Gowar Soft in the Head by Marie-Sabine Roger The Long Way Home (Chief Inspector Armand Gamache, #10) by Louise Penny Mermaids in Paradise by Lydia Millet The Lobster Kings A Novel by Alexi Zentner Mount Pleasant by Don Gillmor The Age of Hope by David Bergen Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel García Márquez
