I read 'The Handmaid's Tale' graphic novel edition by Margaret Atwood, which was pretty good! I'd already seen the series, so it was interesting seeing how the characters were originally imagined.

Sonya (thelibrarianin3b) | 18 comments I'm using "The Missing Piece" by Shel Silverstein for this prompt.

Although this is a children's book it's actually a bit strange and I wasn't sure what to make of the ending. The story is about this circle who is in search of his missing piece (think a pie chart with a triangle taken out of the circle). He finds his perfect sized missing piece but it keeps him from living his life in a way that made him happy so he has to decide whether to keep his missing piece or let it go.

It's pretty deep for a kid's book and the ending is vague. I think that's why I found it strange.
