I'm starting early. Couldn't wait two months to see how Meg and Simon's story ends :)

Ch 5 (view spoiler)[I think it is interesting how the Elders are sticking around. And they want wolf cookies :D

I swear I could read about these characters forever. I hope Bishop goes back and writes some short stories about the Lakeside Courtyard some day.

No problem. I'm still waiting on book 4 to come back to the library. I have no patience!

Ch 16 (view spoiler)[OMG that whole scene with Skippy made my heart melt. I had to read it twice. He had the courage to try and everyone accepted him. I love Miss Twyla. (hide spoiler)]

I finished last night and loved it. I'm sad to have to leave everyone behind. The world is open enough Bishop could come back to Lakeside Courtyard some day. Maybe after she's done writing Black Jewels.

Ending (view spoiler)[I'm glad the Elders had fun with that Jimmy. He was a nightmare. It was great that Meg managed to stay calm and trust in her visions even when they were confusing. I can see how that would make you doubt reality.

Meg and Simon's love story was wonderful. It's nice to see this done in an understated manner once in a while. (hide spoiler)]

At some point I'll have to check out the spin off books.

I am up to Ch. 18... I have not been able to put it down at all... Skippy and Twila stole my heart for ever!!! I have no words! I am going to keep reading in order to finish it tonight... I just can't believe that Jimmy comes form this wonderful family... What a sleazy, slimly, disgusting human being!!! And it seems his son is taking right after him! I really hope (view spoiler)[ that the little girl gets a chance away from those people!!! (hide spoiler)]

Exactly!!! Both of those scenes are why we love these books and this author, isn't it... ❤🧡💛💜

I finished... Easy five stars for me. What a wonderful way to deal with their romance! I loved every second of these books. Definitely adding to my comfort reads from now on. Looking forward to the next book!

The other two books in the series don't feature these characters. I really hope Ms. Bishop comes back to Lakeside Courtyard some day. Or at least writes a Skippy short story. I need to know how Skippy is doing!

Me too! I hope Sam keeps acting like his older brother and they figure how to live as a happy family.

When are we reading the next book? we kind of read ahead, didn't we...

Also, I was thinking whenever we decide to read them, are we going to make new folders or are we going to discuss here?

Yeah, couldn't wait to read this :) I am flexible on timing. It's less of a rush for the remaining two books since they are all different characters.
