Magdelanye | 2851 comments I hear the bus strike is ramping up and so to prevent getting stuck in Vancouver I guess I wont go over this weekend.

Mary Anne | 210 comments Magdelanye - Too bad - are you going to miss something or someone by not being able to go? Besides us ladies of the western flight paths?

message 3: by Petra (new)

Petra | 1117 comments I'm sorry about this, Magdelanye, but think it's wiser to wait until this strike is over. Next week could be chaos.
I do hope we can work out a get-together one day.

Magdelanye | 2851 comments there is a wonderful event at cafe de soleil sat night aboriginal women and music with friends performing.
I was counting on a last minute settlement this afternoon
seems like chaos and panic in Vancouver but next week will be worse especially is snow....

Petra | 1117 comments SNOW??!! Who said the S word? LOL!

I was out running this morning and it was cold! The running kept me warm enough but there was frost on the sidewalks and all the shady areas.

Petra | 1117 comments I am sorry that this weekend is off. I was looking forward to it. However, I do feel better knowing you aren't stranded.

Now I can look forward to our upcoming meet-up, whenever that turns out to be.

Magdelanye | 2851 comments feeling a little down, like maybe I should have made a run for it.
but yes, something to look forward to

Magdelanye | 2851 comments The sun is shining here after a wildly stormy night and it is a test in disappointment that I am not at this moment sitting with Petra and Marianne but here instead, preparing to write a review of How to Set a Fire and Why by Jesse Ball which was a quick uncomfortable read which I will try to explain in my review.
Then I will come back here and see if either of you have checked in

Petra | 1117 comments I'm disappointed as well that today didn't happen but now we have a future meet-up to look forward to.

It was sunny this morning but is now overcast. We had rain earlier. I went out for a run in the sunshine and came back to grey skies and a definite moisture in the air. Luckily, I got home before the rain fell.

I met one of the ladies from my carving group on the trail. We had a nice chat. Then I found out that my muscles had cooled and really did not want to continue running. Poor muscles.....we had to get home so they had to run. They're complaining right now. Owie!

I'm currently enjoying tea with a couple of cookies.

Magdelanye | 2851 comments sounds like a hot bath with epson salts is next!

I just posted my review-I too was interrupted, my son texting from London. It's a bit of a wacky review but it fits I think and I'm satisfied. But I've had enough for now.

I never did get outside but it was gorgeous for a while watching the clouds curl around the cedars and the sun
