What's the Name of That Book??? discussion

I was asked to get a book into my library and I searched it but have now forgotten what it was called.
It was a biography from approx 90's but still available.
Has a brown toned cover with a fave on it. I believe with a scarf wrapped around the hair.
Three word title.
The authors name was along the lines of Chibode Ayome.
I think it was about escaping a country that was war-torn.
I have looked at my search history but cannot find it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cat, this isn't your book but can you describe how the cover image is different from your book (e.g., gender, age, expression on face, facing forward/to the side, how much of the body is shown, clothing)? Is the entire image sepia-toned like an old photograph?

Reading your post made me think of Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe but this is a novel, not a biography and it was first published in 1959 (though there are many editions - some from the 90s I'm sure). Could it be Conversations with Chinua Achebe or the autobiography

It's Things Fall Apart, I must have got a bit confused, thinking it was a bio.
