November 2019 Roundup

I read the latest Karin Slaughter book so now I'm up to date on the Will Trent series. So, I've hit my goals for both completing and being up-to-date on series for 2019.
2. Did you start any new series? If so, what were they? Will you continue?
I started Kerrigan Byrne's Victorian Rebels series and plan to continue it.
3. Did you move forward in any series? How many?
I moved forward in four series:
Nadia Stafford series by Kelley Armstrong
Gilded Newport series by Alyssa Maxwell
The Legionnaires by Brynn Kelly
Will Trent series by Karin Slaughter
4. Any standout or 5 star books read? Why did you love it/them?
I had three 5-Star books in November:

5. Overall summary of your reading month?
I read some great books this month, and some bad books this month. The great ones certainly made the month go fast.

I got up-to-date in one series - A Crystal of Time (The School for Good and Evil: The Camelot Years #2) by Soman Chainani

2. Did you start any new series? If so, what were they? Will you continue?
I started 1 series and a trilogy:
The Ruin (Cormac Reilly #1) by Dervla McTiernan
Killing Fear (Prison Break Trilogy #1) by Allison Brennan

3. Did you move forward in any series? How many?
Nope
4. Any standout or 5 star books read? Why did you love it/them?
Only 1 five star read for me this month, but I enjoyed all the books. A Crystal of Time was fun and surprising.
5. Overall summary of your reading month?
5 books read this month and on track to reach my yearly goal of 60. I did throw in a few quick reads to help reach that goal, though. I'm glad I finally read Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt.

Yes! I completed the Paper Girls series, I am UTD on Cormoran Strike, The Umbrella Academy, and Monstress.
2. Did you start any new series? If so, what were they? Will you continue?
Not new exactly, but I started my re-read of The Wheel of Time.
3. Did you move forward in any series? How many?
Yes, besides the series I completed and got UTD, I also moved forward in Redwall.
4. Any standout or 5 star books read? Why did you love it/them?
I really enjoyed all of the books I read in November.
5. Overall summary of your reading month?
For me, it was a great month! Finally knocked some off the list and made some good progress on different series. :)
1. Did you complete and/or get up to date in any series this month?
I got up to date in one series, Black Dagger Brotherhood by J. R. Ward.
2. Did you start any new series? If so, what were they? Will you continue?
I started five new series (heh, heh):
Detective D. D. Warren by Lisa Gardner (group read)
Victorian Rebels by Kerrigan Byrne (group read)
Whispering Mountain by Jodi Thomas (group read)
Prison Break Trilogy by Allison Brennan (group read)
Sweetwater by Lisa Clark O’Neill
In my defense 😬, most of these are group reads and ALL of them were already on my shelf, some for years. Yes, I definitely plan to continue all of them.
3. Did you move forward in any series? How many?
I moved forward in three series:
Promise Falls by Linwood Barclay
The Lairds Most Likely by Anna Campbell
Hostage Rescue Team by Kaylea Cross
4. Any standout or 5 star books read? Why did you love it/them?
I enjoyed every book I read this month but there were two that I found outstanding. In Pieces blew me away and The Highwayman was a complete surprise. Loved everything about that book and am excited about the series.
5. Overall summary of your reading month?
I didn’t read a lot of books (eleven) but I really enjoyed all of them. And, it was a productive month despite my starting five new series. But! They were all on my shelf coming into 2019...yes, I’m looking for redemption😏

I agree, Jessika! You had a fantastic month💜 Kudos to you. I’m jealous about the Cormoran Strike status. I’m dying to read the most recent book.
