I am just getting started, but I like it so far. Curious about Tim's character and how he gets involved in the institute.

Stephen King “The Institute” Discussion Questions

1. What were your general impressions of the novel - did you enjoy it? Why or why not?
2. Have you read other books by this author?
a) If so, how does this compare to the author's other work?
b) If not, will you be reading other books by Stephen King?
3. Stephen is known for his strong ability to build memorable charters. Who was your favorite character and why? Who was the most evil character in your opinion and were there any redeemable qualities in this person?
4. Stephen King as of late has been very vocal with his political beliefs. Did you relate this story to any current events (he has in interviews, though he states not intentionally). He also has said interviews he tries the best he can to keep his politics out of his novels, do you think he succeeded?
5. The lisping man at the end of the book tried to bring shame upon the kids who revolted and freed the institutes around the world. If he was correct, and the world would be jeopardized and likely come to an end without the work the institutes were doing (by preventing catastrophes), would it ever be worth the lives of thousands of children to save millions of children?
