Cody Smith | 6 comments This book is seen through four people Autumn, Sylv, Claire, and Tomas. All these characters have a direct relation to Ty the school shooter. The main character is most likely Autumn, Ty's brother. Autumn is a dancer and has endured family problems with her brother, her mothers death and an abusive father. Ty feels cut off from everybody but always looked out and was close to his sister. Ty then feels more abandoned after he finds out Autumn is gay.

Should Autumn feel guilty for Ty's actions?

Cody Smith | 6 comments With every single conflict except the death of his Mom and his abusive father. Many of Ty's internal conflicts were caused by Autumn, Sylv, Tomas, and Claire. Ty felt abandoned and started blaming everyone in his life including the entire school. When Ty hit rock bottom he was alone, he felt even his sister left his side. Constant bullying, abuse, loss, break ups, and breaking the law he felt that had no friends or family to help him.

Could any of the four character's actions avoided the school shooting?

Lane Smith | 5 comments Shy works on a cruise ship for a summer job. But during a cruise a tsunami hits the cruise ship. Shy is one of the only survivors. He makes it to a lifeboat with a girl named Addie and a rich man named Mr. Henry. They are lost at sea with no land or help in sight and only a gallon of water for the three of them. When Mr. Henry threw himself overboard did help Addie and Shy or did his death make the situation worse?

Lane Smith | 5 comments No young man should ever have to be stranded on a life boat stuck in a middle of an ocean with other survivors. In the book "The Living," Shy Espinoza works on a cruise ship as a summer job tsunami hits the cruise ship and he gets on a life boat with two survivors named Mr. Henry a rich oil man and a girl named Addison. When Mr. Henry killed himself by throwing himself overboard did it help Shy and Addison or hurt them?

SuYun Chung | 4 comments Sounds like a great book, Cody. I wonder if Autumn feels guilty because of the stuff she might be going through.
