I started this early because I just got it in the post.

Chapter three is so funny (view spoiler)[ It was real good that Lily catched on that Dash isn't fond of Christmas. Dash feeling up Santa and all those kids freaking out literally made me laugh out loud. (hide spoiler)] I don't often do that. Love it so far.

Chapter eight (view spoiler)[ It's sad that they haven't realised that they are both lonely. They could have spent Christmas together. Lily is taking all this disappointment well, I'd be so miserable if I was left on my own for Christmas. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ Well, I actually prefer my own company but I think everyone has this idea of Christmas being a time to spend with family. Maybe I will try it one year.

Hmm, yeah they are both definitely trying to hide how miserable they are. What I meant was, I wish they would just let each other know that they are lonely haha. I do think Lily was disappointed but I would have been so much more livid than she was. Haha. (hide spoiler)]

Apparently I'm not the only one who didn't really like this book. I'm sorry for all of us, but I can't lie, I'm also feeling a little better.

ha ha! I'm glad you feel better! It's always nice when you find you aren't the only person to not like something ;)

I am on my way to the library and I thought I'd pop in and see if anyone started this and what they thought...I gotta say that I'm torn as to whether I'm going to read this or not. The last thing I need is another mediocre book that I don't feel like reading :D

It's not mediocre, but I don't recommend reading it unless you have time to waste. :D

and if people who really don't like Christmas irritate you as well, I also wouldn't bother.

I wouldn't say it's not worth anyone's time, you may love it! Plus, I don't see three stars as a particularly bad rating. I really liked Dash (I know most of you don't) so it does have a few pros in my opinion anyway.

I liked Dash better actually. Lily was the one I couldn't tolerate. :/

I couldn't stand Dash. He's the sort of character I want to punch.

Yay, good to know Malek! Why did you like him? :) I thought he was cynical and a know it all but I find that relatable to some extent. Lily was just to over the top unbelievable and I felt she was trying to fit in to much (view spoiler)[ Like when she went off with that guy (can't think of his name) and she got drunk with him. She didn't even know him, he could of grown up to be a murderer for all she knew. (hide spoiler)] I thought that was sooo stupid. No wonder Dash didn't want to know her at that point.

Well, for starters, I have a soft spot on know-it-all assholes and let's face it, this pretty much sums him up. :D Another thing, I just had to find something to like about the book, so while I didn't like anyone or anything too much, I have less negative feelings about Dash. :D
And yes, it was extremely stupid of Lily to just go out drinking with that guy. I don't think he could be that bad to be honest -I'm commenting on the murderer part-, but he was a SOB nonetheless. Common sense says no.

Yeah, that part along with many more was very lame and stupid. The book wasn't very well-written anyway, so I stopped blaming Dash at one point and got angry with the writer instead. :D

I don't have much patience at the moment and having Dash on text-to-speech was obviously a mistake!

I would agree with that :D any recommendation on having whom on text-to-speech? I have a final tomorrow that I don't wanna study, so I need someone :D

I wasn't a fan of Dash either.

I quite liked the Katie McGarry books on text-to-speech.

Well, I made the mistake of reading Pushing the Limits, no way I'm touching any other books of hers. :/ It was full of annoying characters.
