The forest surrounding Jade Mountain

Ladybug lets a smile conquer her features, her frills extended in glee as she pranced around the underbrush. She absolutely adored the forest surrounding the academy, reminding her of the village she grew up in. Apart from it being more of a spruce forest than a rain forest, it was almost identical!

A claw is extended, plucking a redish-pinkish berry from a bush before popping it in her mouth. It tasted sweet, and the juice drizzled down her throat like honey. A couple more berries are taken, beginning to stuff her face with the treat.

Feeling satisfied with her mid-day snack, she begins to bounce through the forest, stomping on each leaf that looked as if it may crackle. A giggle of delight is emitted every time she succeeds in stomping on a crinkly leaf.

"It's a wonder why the other dragonets don't come down here often..."

Suddenly there was silence
Nothing moved
there was no sound at all

Then Ladybug heard a voice
" What are you doing here "

Ladybug allows a puzzled expression conquer her face when the crunching leaves seem to suddenly stop crunching. One after another, and they seemed to of lost all their sound.

That's really weird...

Her tail begins to flick in disappointment, her eyes widening when she can't feel it move. Her prance turns into a confused walk when her legs begin to slow down, her hind legs freezing in place.

Her front legs follow suit, freezing up as a look of a terror begins to form. Had she just jinxed herself wondering why nobody came to enjoy the forest?

"What's going on!" she yelps.

A dragon seemed to melt out of the shadow and slowly walk over to Ladybug
The dragon had cloth wrapped around its eyes and it looked like a Nightwing but it seemed not to be a nightwing
" I said " The dragon spoke as it walked up to Ladybug
" What are you doing here? " The dragon said

Selene burst into the clearing her eyes darting from place to place. The rainwing seemed nice but the Nightwing, she didn't like it's hostility at all. She seemed very arrogant as she demanded o know what the rainwing was doing here. Selene might be scared but she wasn't going to let anyone be bullied. " Leave her alone," She said " You don't scare anyone" This dragon reminded her of bullies back at home. Arrogant and stuck up. As soon as she said this, she shrunk behind the rainwing terrified at the Nightwing's reaction to her outburst.

She really wasn't in the mood to be picked on but she didn't want others hurt. She knew that feeling. " You ok?" She asked quietly. She was so quiet the Nightwing couldn't have heard if she tried. Selene's mind began to search for a fake name that wouldn't make a dragon think of they Hybrid Princesses as she was infamously called

Ladybug carefully observed Shadow, her heart racing in her chest. The dragon had simply melted straight from the shadows, almost like she had been apart of them from the start.

Her sky blue eyes lock onto the fact that the mysterious dragon had a thick cloth around her eyes and had...

Were those four wings?

"I'm just trying to play with the leaves," Ladybug quickly explains, wanting to get out of the situation. Mischief had managed to find her yet again! This was worrying though. The dragon looked nothing like she had ever seen.

She had what seemed like a power, looked blind, and looked like a brand new creature!

"Who are you!"

Ladybug's gaze focuses on Serene's sudden appearance. "And who are you!"

The new dragon popped out of the forest and now Ladybug and Selene were in a hostile manner
" Everyone calm down lets start this again. I am Shadow and who are you two? "

Selene was even more wary at the dragon now. " Stay away" She said with a quivering voice. " I'm Snow" She said

Ladybug tried not to look suspiciously at the new dragons. "I'm Ladybug," she began with a soft voice. She appreciated Shadow wanting to calm everyone down, but it was still weird seeing someone not like anything she's ever seen.

"It's nice to meet you guys?"

'Snow' looked like a crossbreed, and even though the RainWing hadn't seen many of those, she still had never seen someone with four wings.

"What are you?" Ladybug questions towards Shadow. She didn't mean to be rude, but she had never been taught to not say those sorts of things to strangers. She had picked up on 'Snow's slightly quivering voice.

"I think calming down is a good idea," she inputs, trying her hardest to calm herself down.

Shadow nodded and spoke to Ladybug " I am a Hivewing but since I have been here I have learned that the Nightwing gene in my dominated my havewing one so I look like a crossbreed " She said and then spoke to Snow " You are a Night/IceWing cross correct? " Shadow said as she sat down and tucked her tail around her self and but she didn't fold her wings in the just stayed where they were before she was sitting

((I think she means HiveWings knowing about the other tribes. If Shadow's the 'wise-know-it-all-blind' dragon, she might have knowledge on the tribes of Pyrrhia. I mean, she is roaming around it))

Selene looked at the Hivewing and shivered. " Stay away," She said firmly. She didn't like her off the start. She seemed to sassy and obnoxious to her. it grated her the wrong way. She wasn't a nice dragon for sure. She seemed stuck up and a bully. " Leave me alone," She said elegantly sitting down with poise. She curled her tail around her legs and looked at Ladybug expecting her to began because she certainly didn't want to talk to this dragon. She liked nice warm dragons and she seemed like the opposite. She looked at the dragon with her blue eyes that seemed to read her mind; Well, she could being born under 2 moons.

"That's cool!" Ladybug chirped, her fear seeming to of vanished now that everyone seemed like they weren't interested in fighting unless provoked. "I didn't know dragons like you even existed!"

She begins to bounce towards Serene, eyes shining with excitement. Her wing gently nudges the crossbreed, "Why aren't you excited about this? We're meeting someone nobody has seen before!"

Ladybug then makes a circle around Shadow, trying to take in the new dragon's appearance. "A HiveWing," she repeats, tilting her head in curiosity. "Kind of has a nice ring to it, wouldn't you agree, Snow?"

She waves her talons across Shadow's blind fold since it didn't seem like the dragon could see. She doesn't try anything, simply trying to see if the HiveWing could see. She had millions of questions she could ask the new dragon.

"What's your home like? I don't think you live on Pyrrhia, so where do you live?"

" I used to live on a island called Plantala but I felt there was more out there so I flew for weeks before I reached this place and I have been in this forest since I got here, that's why nobody is down here, they think there is a monster living here " Shadow turned her head to llok at Snow and cocked her head to the side
" You don't like me do you? "
She stated and the turned her head in Ladybugs direction " Please don't wave your claws in front of my face, its quite rude "

Ladybug felt her jaw drop when the seemingly blind dragon tells her not to wave her claws in front of her face. "How can you see! That cloth looks thicker than a grizzly's hide during Winter!

"I think Snow likes you but is too afraid to put her guard down," she teases, speaking her mind without thinking about what she was saying. She hadn't been taught not to do it, so why would she begin now?

"One thing I do know though, is that you don't seem like a monster. You look kind of weird, but you seem nice enough to fit into my books!"

Ladybug sat down, a proud look on her face for saying such a thing. "I can't believe you were able to fly for weeks! I can't even make it to the Kingdom without getting a bit tired!"

Shadow gave a hearty laugh and turned her had to look in Ladybugs general direction " I like you " She said to Ladybug
" And yes it was a lot of work to fly here and more because I'm blind but I did it to prove that there is more out there and that anyone can do it"

Blizzard remained silent, not sure if he liked this dragon. " So you're an animus?" He asked finally, noticing how she had come out of the shadows. He was impressed that she had chosen this power but it would have been cooler to have power over ice. The dragon was right about on thing, he didn't like her. She was too cheerful, and she grated on him. He put his guard up and looked at her making sure she couldn't sense his emotions.

“An animus too! Is that how you did all those cool tricks?”

Ladybug was now teaming with more questions. This seemed to be an epic combination of a new species and a magical dragon. And she had never met an animus before! RainWings didn’t have the gene that could make them animus dragons, and therefore she had never really seen one in her life.

“What things have you enchanted? Have you ever enchanted a banana to fly across the room and into your mouth because you were too lazy to get up and get it yourself?

“That wish happens to me sometimes,” she comments, glancing at her stomach which was beginning to growl with hunger. “How about you, Snow? Have you ever gotten that want for a banana to bring itself to you?”

Ladybug doesn’t pay attention to the fact Blizzard was an IceWing and therefore didn’t eat fruit unless it was necessary fo survival.

Shadow laughed and said " I like you Ladybug the Rainwing and no I have not made a banana fly into my mouth but I have made a waterfall appear out of rocks so the creatures and plants would have water " Shadow said and then turned to Blizzards direction " Yes I am an animus Blizzard the Icewing"
Shadow stood on her hind legs and reached up to grab a leaf from the tree about her, still standing on her legs, she wrapped her claws around it, said some gibberish, and the opened her claws and blow on them
Butterfly's exploded out of her ands and flew around, landing on the other dragons, and land on the trees, creating a magical effect and a rainbow of colors everywhere

Blizzard was in awe. but frightened, how much of her soul did she have left?

Ladybug watched with delight, her eyes glittering with curiosity. The leaf had just! And then it exploded! And now there were butterflies! And colors! And magical specks of dust!

It was the most beautiful thing she’d ever seen!

She laughed when she felt a butterfly land on her snout, attempting to stay as still as possible to keep it on her. She tried her hardest to stifle the giggles when it began to wall around on her snout.

Finally unable to hold it in, Ladybug gently poked the butterfly, watching it flutter off her. “I can’t believe this is happening! It’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen!”

Honestly, the RainWing was beginning to like Shadow as well!

She lifts an eyebrow at Blizzard’s frightened expression. “What is it? Do I have a lizard on my snout or something?”

Shadow chuckled at the Rainwing's behaver and then looked at Blizzard " Is something wrong Blizzard the Icewing?" she asked

"How much of your soul do you have?" He asked worried

“What do you mean? She looks perfect!” Ladybug begins, glancing at Shadow. Although the dragon look a little funny, most likely because she hadn’t seen something like her before, she seemed perfectly fine. She had even made colors and butterflies appear.

How could someone so kind have a piece of their soul missing?

The RainWing cocked her head to the side. She moved to poke the HiveWing before she stopped herself, thinking back to when she asked the dragonet to not wave her claws in her face.

“Are you secretly evil?” Ladybug joked.

"Hello" She said smiling. Ash and Echo dropped behind her. " Hello, Hivewing" She said lightly. She rubbed her braclets of gold hoping they would help. She was an animus as well as Shadow

Shadow laughed and spoke to the Rainwing " No I am not secretly evil and its okay if you want to explore me but you have to tell me what I look like okay? I haven't had anyone tell me what I look like in a very long time " she said as she bent down a little for the rainwing

She spoke to the new comers of the group " Hello new dragons and Animus " She said as she waited for Ladybug to get done with her search and then spoke to Blizzard " I have only enchanted 2 things in my life time Blizzard the IceWing, The tree that gave me shadows and the leaf " She said

Blizzard looked at Shadow. " what about the rock that made the waterfall?" he asked slowly. Was this dragon a natrual lier?

Shadow nodded
" I made a cluster of rocks around one rock so it would look like a waterfall, I enchanted the rock to make a waterfall" Shadow siad

Ladybug still couldn't seem to wrap her mind around the fact that she was in the presence of an animus. A dragon more powerful than she could ever dream of.

Her tail flicked excitedly, eyes shining in delight as she glanced over towards Blizzard. "I don't think I see your problem, mister," she begins defensively, taking Shadow's side. "Do you always take pleasure in being a stick in the mud?"

The RainWing was aware of how self-centered and suspicious IceWings could be. She just couldn't understand why Blizzard had put up a seemingly defensive fortress around himself. "You must be the happiest dragon in the world being an animus," she comments towards Shadow.

"You could have whatever you want, whenever you want!"

Shadow gave a sad smile
"No that's where you are wrong little RainWing….. Being an Animus is dangerous and every time we do magic, it takes part of us.
This is not a gift.
It is a Curse."

This Rainwing wasn't the brightest Blizzard thought. Every dragon knew about the cure. it was so simple. "Every time you use your power to enchant something, you lose your soul," he said a tad impatiently to the RainWing. I bit dim and certainly quick to judge. Blizzard knew the dangers of animus and this dragon didn't, cocky little girl.

Shadow glared at Blizzard
“Calm your self IceWing” she said

Ladybug stuck her tongue out towards Blizzard, rolling her eyes. “But there’s bound to be loopholes,” she protests, eyeing Shadow. She still liked the HiveWing, and couldn’t she enchant something to bring her anything she wanted?

“Is there some sort of ‘rule’ saying you can’t enchant an overgrown strawberry to turn into thousands of jewels? That’d only be one spell!”

The RainWing wasn’t giving up on her idea that being an animus was cool. “And you can walk out of shadows like earlier! That’s got to be the coolest thing you’ve ever done!

“And you wouldn’t have to ever use your powers other than a few times. You could enchant a strawberry to multiply every time you asked it to, making an infinite supply of food!”

Ladybug’s head turned away from Blizzard in defiance, having heard the impatience in his voice. He was just being a frustrated toad!

Shadow sighed "Yes but sooner or later I will go crazy and hurt a lot of dragons"
