I am so sorry that I didn't set up discussion posts til now! I will come back in tomorrow with more clear distinctions, but for now we'll go with Beginning/Middle/End.

What did you think of the start of this book? Which sister do you most relate to and why? How are you getting on with the writing style?

Anna | 13 comments I love this book, and I'm so glad I'm rereading it as an adult. I love the writing style, especially knowing that LMA treasured role models and work ethic. I love Jo and her antics, but I've also come to love Meg by the end of part 1.

Kate | 39 comments I am enjoying this, and just like when I was a kid, I am relating most to Jo. She loves reading and writing and gets irritated with boy-crazy girls. The writing is engaging. One thing I didn't remember is the moralistic side of the story. I guess that was what made this a wholesome book for young girls when. it was originally published.

Mallorie | 2 comments I really like the jo character. You can see that each sister has their own unique personality. This is actually my first time reading this book. So far I'm liking this story.

Carrie (awordafterthought) Well, as I don't have sisters, I find it rather exhausting! These girls and their drama! lol. Like others, I'm relating to Jo the most.

Jennifer I’m liking the personalities of each girl. I think Alcott did a great job writing each one as an individual, but at the same time they come together and share the family’s morals and virtues. I love how she shows the strengths and weaknesses of each girl.

I can relate to each daughter in some way, but I probably relate more with Amy so far. I grew up the youngest of three girls and I remember how bad I wanted to join in and do things my older sisters did.

Floor tussendeboeken (floorflawless) I'm still at the beginning of the book as I started late with reading it and I read books written in English slower than written in Dutch, so I won't make it before the end of the year haha oops!

Don't worry, I am at the beginning too and I read in only English and am reading English book. I can't imagine reading in a different language. I say take your time and enjoy.
