Since the time to pick for January is almost here, why don't you go ahead and be our first selector for 2020?

Alice will be selecting our books for February. We still need someone to choose our books for March.

Here is what I picked
Theme US Region - South
Louisiana Longshot by Jana DeLeon
Cake and Punishment by Maymee Bell
Thanks Alice.
Louisiana Longshot for kindle is free on amazon right now. It's also available on overdrive through the library (at least mine).
Cake and Punishment is also available on overdrive and in my library so hopefully in yours.

Thanks Ashley. I'll put you on the list for April - June. We'll choose selectors at the beginning of March.

Just let me know when you need me! :)

Then I'm glad we got you in now. Message me your choices anytime between now and February 20th.

First The Arts the Meg Langslow mysteries (she works with metal and there are always animals) The Real Macaw

an alternate Cooking -restaurant A Dash of Death

Susan - Thanks for choosing our books for this month! The selected books are always the first book in the series, so the Donna Andrews book will be Murder With Peacocks and the Claudia Bishop book will be A Taste for Murder. That makes it easier for people who haven't started the series. Of course, other books in the series are welcome to be discussed, but we ask that spoilers be used if necessary.
Ashley - Would you like to pick the books for May?
We also need someone to choose books for June.
Sorry things got behind! Real life is crazy for everyone right now.

If you want "fresh blood" and nobody else volunteers, I can do it, if you'd like :)

Barb - that would be great if you's pick June's books.
Hilary and Alice - we'll keep you in mind for later.

Lea - that would be great. You should get to choose for your birthday.
Barb's going to pick for July. Hopefully one of us will remember by then. :)

I haven't heard from Ashley, but am working on getting books for May.
Hopefully she's ok and will be able to pick later in the year.

I can´t recommend them, as I haven´t read them myself, but at least there were some I could lay my hands on.
Examples are Case of the Strawberry Cream Stabbing by Jessica Lansberry, Deadly Deals and Donuts by Cindy Bell, Pancakes and Corpses by Agatha Frost or Mango Cake and Murder by Christy Murphy.
Hope you haven´t read all of them and may perhaps choose from those.
Barb agreed to choose our books for May, but she was originally supposed to pick for July. So we'll need to replace her.
Michaela - would you like to choose our books for July?

I can do it, if I can choose those books concerning cakes (don´t remember what themes we´ve got exactly), or I´d find others that fit one of the themes during the next months, as I can´t get them from my library, and some are quite expensive when I have to buy them regularely. :)

Yes, you can pick from your cake books. That would fit one of the cooking themes. Both books don't have to fit the theme - your second choice is totally your own.

Thanks, will do! :)

Wreath of Deception by: Mary Elaine Hughes
Murder, She Knit (A Knit & Nibble Mystery) by: Peggy Ehrhart
Oops! It looks like I scheduled two people to pick for July. Michaela is picking the books and Cathy will pick later in the year. Sorry for any confusion.

Lea wrote: "Did you need me to give you a theme for June? I have been wondering when to give you book titles for June gor the group."
Lea - Mid-May is a good time to let us know what books you pick and your theme for June.
