OOh, it's coming out tomorrow? I've had it on hold at the library forever.

Marc (authorguy) | 26 comments Currently I'm reading Book 4 in the Merchant Princes series by Charles Stross, called The Merchants' War. I'm a big H. Beam Piper fan, and this book is a really good Alternate History/Paratime series.

message 5: by Dana (new)

Dana (anotetoshelf) Is that a sci-fi series?

Deborah Stelling (starspring) | 8 comments I am just beginning The Wednesday Sisters

Isabelle Allen | 1 comments I am new to this group, but I live in Hampton Bays. I would highly recommend a book that is just out called The Art of Devotion by Samantha Bruce-Benjamin. I'm a big fan. The author lives in Westhampton. It's set on an island in the Mediterranean Sea from the turn of the century until the late 1930s and is told from the vantage point of four different women. A great read!

That sounds like a good one. I'm currently reading Hannah's List by Debbie Macomber.

Jenee | 3 comments I just finished Dear John byNicholas Sparks. I loved it. Off to the library later to find another book.

message 10: by Hope (new)

Hope | 1 comments I read Dear John after seeing the movie. It was enjoyable. I realized that they had changed the ending in the movie but that was okay, it worked better as a movie the way it ended.

Now I'm reading "Eat Pray Love" by Elizabeth Gilbert. I'm enjoying it a great deal so far (but I tend to read more than one book at a time both for pleasure and for stuff I want to learn about). My next pleasure read after this will be whichever comes in from the library first.

Jenee | 3 comments I usually don't cry during books but Dear John brought tears to my eyes.

Right now I am reading Insomnia by Stephen King. I have read this book before about 8 years ago or so. I don't remember anything about it, so it's like reading it for the first time.

I also just finished Blockade Billy by Stephen King. Great book. Very short read.

How is everyone doing? What a beautiful day it is today. I actually opened my windows to get the fresh air in. So, what are you reading? I picked up the book The White Queen and I was entranced with that time period of the Tudor Age. I just started reading The Red Queen. It is the second book in the series. I have a whole list of books by this author Philippa Gregory all having to do with the Tudor period.

Kathy (bookgoddess1969) My mom's a huge Kristin Hannah fan. I've been meaning to give her a shot. What would you recommend?

message 16: by Michelle (new)

Michelle Lynne (babyblueforty5) | 11 comments Kristin Hannah is also my fave author in the whole wide world, lol. My top 3 faves of her would be, Fire Fly Lane, Magic Hour, and Winter Garden. Really, all of her books are great though. Mystic Lake, The Things We Do For Love, Between Sisters...all good! Good luck, let me know how you like them!

I have to pick a book for February's book club, and I was thinking some sort of love romance related book, to go with the Valentines Day theme. I was thinking of Julie Buxbaum's The Opposite of Love? Anyone read that? I'm open to suggestions! Thanx!
