I was looking at "My Year in Review" and thought it would be great to see how everyone did this year. I was really surprised at my stats:
My goal was 5 books, I read 31;
I read 11457 pgs total;
the shortest book was Looking for Alaska by John Green 221 pgs, the longest books was Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell 1038 pgs.;
My avg rating was 3.9 stars;
My first review was for Perfectly Pickled (Mina Kitchen #4) by Lizz Lund and my last review was for American Dirt by Jeanine Cummins

What did you do this year?

That's a pretty good year Bridget!

I've read a little over 100 books (though most of those are graphic novels). I think I've read less than a dozen actual prose novels this year. My longest book was (of course) War and Peace at 1024 pages. Most popular was To Kill a Mockingbird.

I didn't get around to a lot of stuff that I would have liked to have read this year, but that's always the case. I am proud that I finally finished War & Peace!

I'm like you, I really feel I accomplished something by reading War & Peace. So many of the books I read this year could be called my favorites, but Gone With the Wind is at the top I surprisingly loved it, and 1984 might be at the bottom, important to read, but I didn't find it very likable.

Bethany | 123 comments Let's see...
I read 28, 090 pages across 84 books (my goal was 50).
My shortest book was The Testament of Mary by Colm Tóibín and the longest was Under the Dome by Stephen King
I am still reading War and Peace, along with Gone With the Wind. I will finish these books in 2020, but as my son is getting more and more mobile, I have less and less time to read (sidebar: at 9 months, my child is constantly trying to kill himself. I'm told this is normal.).
My first review was for Occupy Space by Grady Hendrix , which was INCREDIBLY FUN to read, and my last review was for Doctor Sleep (The Shining, #2) by Stephen King .

Next year, I'm hoping to keep the same goal of 50 books, but we'll see what little man allows. It has been an amazing year!

It's great to pass your goal, I never thought I'd read as many books as I did this year. So I've increased my goal for 2020. Occupy Space sounds like a lot of fun, so I've added it to my reading list. Yes, little ones will keep you busy. I hope you still find quiet time to relax and enjoy your reading this year.

Bethany | 123 comments Bridget, the past few years I'd read over 100 books for my goal, but with the baby I had no idea what to expect. The first 3 months he slept a lot and didn't crawl, so I didn't have to be at maximum alert. Now he is everywhere at once and I barely have time to think! I love reading, though, so I hope to keep my goal.
