I hope this is all right.

So recently I came across this Youtube video and I was kind of blown away by the topic as well as the... Idk, vibe of it. I wont say too much about it because I would rather you guys form your own opinion but it let me... (Almost) Sad and disillusioned.

My questions is this - how should I, as a (passionate) feminist, deal with this? What do you guys think about it? What would you say in response to this?

So often I hear from my surroundings that we no longer need feminism in western society - how do you respond to that? What are your key comments/bullet points when the topic arise and how do you make your points come across?

Thank you so much :-)

Of course, in other cultures the situation is different, and in some places worse, in some places better.

I live in Austria, which is a western state I guess, and I would argue as follows.

1. Men and Women are equal before the law, it says so in the constitution.
2. The problem is with the preception of Society: how we are brought up, this generic views of what a woman is and what a man is what they do how they act. We are tought so in elementary school and this is wrong. There needs to be a change in peoples opinions on what a woman and what a man is.
3. Women are still getting paid approximately 20% less in Austria. And their bosses argue that they just didn‘t want more when they are prosecuted for it, fortunately the justice system has a very strict view on discrimination. But most cases are not even prosecuted, because for some reason people are scared lf their bosses or not getting a job.
4. Cases of sexual or physical assault are also often not prosecuted. The police doesn’t even inform the states attorny so it never comes before a judge . Their stories are so important but mostly people don’t believe them.
5. There are so many mire male people in powerful positions than female. Women can lead and people need to realise this.

There are many more points i am sure but these are just a few.
