Hardcover Hearts (hardcoverhearts) | 3 comments I think I am going to try a minimum of 6.

I just got The German Girl on Scribd. So I will start there. I would like to do mostly women authors. So I’m looking at Vicki Baum and Irmgard Keun. Any other ideas will be most welcome.

I have never read any Stefan Zweig, who I think will fit the challenge. Any recommendations?

Arlene (arlene131) | 7 comments For my third read I have just completed The Train Was On Time by Heinrich Bill. superb. I gave a 5 star rating which I rarely give but with this book, I know I shall never forget the characters, the synopsis nor the wonderful almost poetic prose. What a read! Highly recommend.

Sukanya | 35 comments Would an anthology of German crime writers also count towards the challenge?

kubelot | 109 comments For my first run I set my goal to seven german novels this year.
With 3 down, two quarterly group reads and a couple of novels from my pile of shame, I'm pretty optimistic
