Janet Evanovich is my guilty pleasure. Even though these books follow a set formula, there's always something a little different, and it works for me. They get me smiling and giggling-
The bad guys are out in full force, but this mis-adventure hits close to home and puts Grandma as the target. (Karin, I know you adore her and I think this book will fill your need for more Grandma). Stephanie and the gang have a big mystery to unravel.
Stephanie is still having car troubles, the relationship with Joe is a bit stabler now but she still has cravings for Ranger. She is beginning to feel that Bounty Hunting is not her life's work. Lula takes it upon herself to makeover Stephanie and that leads to huge laughs.
With the ending Evanovich has left us hanging this time. That's OK by me, I never miss reading the latest installment.
I do adore Grandma many times. I am thinking of reading more of these since I plan to do another series challenge and will work some of these into reads for pbt and Popsugar. Sometimes I need a break, though :)
But the "hobbits" in Sizzlin' Sixteen are some of my all time favourites.
