I guess it is possible. My intent right now is to use Locus longlists (published Feb 1-2) for setting two (?) polls right after they are published: SF and fantasy. It is 90% certain that Ninth House will be on the list.
The question mark after two is because on Feb 20 we'll see Nebula nominee list and bearing in mind that Nebula and Hugo lists are usually similar, I thought about choosing one of those nominees to read before Hugo nom deadline (March 13)

Of course it's entirely possible that we'll have chosen one of the Nebula nominees from Locus shortlists, in which case the problem solves itself.
Perhaps you could make the polls according to Locus lists, then pick the highest-scoring book plus highest-scoring that is also a Nebula nominee? In that case you could start nominating books for March right after the Locus lists are published (Feb 1-2), put up polls on Feb 15th or so and declare winners on Feb 20.
Of course there is a potential problem: what if we don't nominate any books that are on the Nebula list? In that case you could quickly set up another poll.
But you've probably thought all of this through already. :)

It is possible but not very likely based on the last two years. Say in 2018 Locus had 25 SF and 21 fantasy novels
https://locusmag.com/2019/02/2018-loc...
Of them there were 3 of 6 Nebula nominees. Of course if we add first novels, we cover all 6 nominees, but this means 19 more books. Unless we assume unequal chances of books to be Nebula nominated, and use the same figure of total of three lists, we got to choose 2 out of 65 books and hit one of 6 nominees

It is 99% that the book will be on Fantasy list. So far I saw conflicting reviews. I'm interested in it too

Oh right. Well, I have that one, or Sisters of the Vast Black. We'll see!

This is a novella and I assumed we'll read novels as 'main' monthly reads (if members disagree I'm open to change that. After all my main desire is to discuss works of any length). However you can call for a buddy read (sadly we yet to get a lot of members) and I'll gladly join
