I will try for 3... But I doubt it will happen... :( All the good stuff happens when I am distracted.
- Book under 150 pages
- Book to complete a series (I don't count Novellas)
- Book w/ over 500 pages; Book that finishes a Series; Book published in 2014

@Norma- well since you've said that the series Marked by S.J. Day is one of your favorites, I will put the first book as my twist.
I definitely count novellas, as right now I have like 5 or 6 series that are only missing a novella (or two), Tempted by Midnight above is one, there is one more of the Iron Druids, 2 more in the Disallusionist, one more in the Pride, one more in Kerrelyn Sparks', there are two in the new Night Shift, one a Psy-changeling one a Kate Daniels. I feel like I have to read them to be "caught up" even though I've read all the full novels. :-) Oh, and Azagoth of Demonica... forgot that one. Order doesn't matter though, it is just the book or story you are missing for the challenge.

OK
by Karen M Moning is the BOM at one of my groups so I'm going to put that as my Ice Snow Cold and move the Holiday Abduction.

I count Novellas as books, but when the series ends and a novella is added on.. I don't count that. I also don't count them if they are under 15 pages. LOL!

Something's wrong with the date read thing, i never bothered b4 and now that I'm trying to put in a date it's not working.
So There is a compilation novel of Nalini Singh's for the Guild.Angels' Flight Which has... I think... four shorts. If you haven't read it, maybe you would like that as a under 150. The whole book is maybe 350-400 but each story probably hits the mark.
You and Norma seem to really like the Charlie Davidson series.
Unluckily Archangel's Shadow is not lending enabled or I would Kindle lend it. I bought it for the 3.50 Whispersync to listen in my car. $11 audio book.

Found a book with "Day" in the title. Didn't even realize it until after I started reading it.
Oh, and changed my less than 150 to
Mate Set which is 137 pages in one form.

What's the criteria for pot luck?
Any of the above, pick as a second book for one.
So I finished Gods and Monsters and feel like I lost hours, 600+ pages worth, of my life for a story that could have been fit into 250 pages.
4 books done.

What is #11 Pot Luck? What's the criteria for that?

The criteria is to pick a 2nd book from any of the above choices, your choice.
I might try Light My Fire from your books. I love Aiken's (Laurenston's) dragons. Maybe I should put that as fire as I haven't done that yet.

December and the Holidays
So 2014 is at a closing and December is about to start. We here in the States have already had Thanksgiving and the clock is ticking for all the rest.
So Hanukkah ends on the 24, Christmas is the 25 and Kwanza is the 26, all gift giving holidays along with eating and celebrating, and all them have candles or lights. In addition New Year Eve is at the end which has lights as fireworks and chinese lanterns. And of course and for those scientific and pagan holidays we've got the Winter solstice, which is the shortest day and longest night. Or hey the longest day or shortest night depending on where you are located,.. Adele. So, cold, snow (beach and warmth), long and short, parties, gifts, and eating, lights, out with the old, and 2014. Hmm, what else.
For challenge read-
1. a book with the word Night somewhere in the title.
2. a book with day somewhere in the title.
3. a book over 500 pages, in honor of the longest.
4. a book/story under 150 pages in honor of the shortest.
5. a book with a feast, lots of food, gifts or a celebration.
6. a book set in the cold, ice snow (if you are in the south you can do- warmth, beach, or sand)
7. a book that finishes up a series for you.
8. a book by an old beloved author
9. a book with light, or fire in the title.
10. a book that was published in 2014.
and/or
11. pot luck of the above.
Let us know how many you are down for and what you read or plan to read, this is important. Come add and tell us you are changing up at any time but keep your original posted lists.
So to enter...
You only have to read 1 book but you can read all 12. I want to make it that you must read the 12th option but I don't want to scare people away.
12 you say?
Here's the twist, for the 12th book/option, read a book that is listed as a book someone else is planning to read or have read for this challenge. So pick a book from someone else's list.
