This could be an indigenous people group from anywhere in the world, and the book can be any genre.

It's sitting on my bookshelf, waiting to be read, so I'm going to read The Round House, also by Louise Erdrich for this category.

I have several titles that could fit, but I am also strongly considering The Round House, because I had hoped to read it this year and didn't get to it.

I just finished reading Lakota Woman by Mary Crow Dog. She gives a lot to think about.

I will be reading the Book of the Hopi for this category. My kids are currently reading the Case of Windy Lake.

I just ordered Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer for this category. Should arrive this afternoon, super excited!

For this prompt I read "The Wolf in the whale" by Jordanna Max Brodsky. This is no on my favorite books of all time list!
It was such an incredible mix of Historical Fiction and Mythology (both Norse and Inuit) with several appearances of gods and goddesses of both. ugh....I already want to read it again!
It does have some trigger warnings...(it was a violent, brutal time period). Warnings include violence against animals, sexual assault, violence resulting in murder, some being children, etc.

I read Storm of Locusts by Rebecca Roanhorse. It’s the second in the book series that starts with Trail of Lightning.
