This can be any holiday, so long as it isn't one you typically celebrate. For example: Chinese New Year, Hanukkah, Ramadan, etc.

Suggestions:

Hershel and the Hanukkah Goblins by Eric Kimmel
The Year of the Dog by Grace Lin
Hearts Alight by Elliot Cooper (Hanukkah)

I just discovered a great option for this challenge!

Once Upon an Eid: Stories of Hope and Joy by 15 Muslim Voices

I just pre-ordered it (May 5 release)!

Miki Thompson | 5 comments I’m on book buying diet but I love anthologies so I grabbed this one.

Nikki (mnnikki) | 164 comments I went with The Year of the Dog by Grace Lin. Definitely searching out YA/Children's books in an attempt to check off more of these prompts. You'd think being stuck at home would have made this challenge easier but I guess not!

Anyway, about the book - so good! I'm definitely going to have my daughter read it before we take it back to the library. Great #ownvoices perspective written in an age appropriate way for children.
