I didn't like them. They were truly annoying. Why did it matter to them where Alex was? They didn't like her no how. In my opinion, they we're a non factor
Yeah, it seemed like they were not needed. I mean they do find out about the Land of Stories (I think I haven't read the books in a while) but it just adds more confusion to the story on top of everything else.
