We've explored the world we inhabit, now let us venture out into the stars.

Some suggestions:

The Martian by Andy Weir
The Loneliest Girl in the Universe by Lauren James
The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet by Becky Chambers
Lucy and the Rocket Dog by Will Buckingham
Space Opera by Catherynne M. Valente

Nikki (mnnikki) | 164 comments I was considering Moonbound: Apollo 11 and the Dream of Spaceflight by Jonathan Fetter-Vorm but obviously didn't look at my shelves because I still have Space Opera from the last crate so I'll have to use that one!

Lindsay | 26 comments I read Children of Ruin by Adrian Tchaikovsky. It is Book 2 in a series, so I also recommend Children of Time (Book 1). Both are really outstanding books.

I haven't read the book, but it is on my short list right now! Yes, it fits this category beautifully.
