I was considering Moonbound: Apollo 11 and the Dream of Spaceflight by Jonathan Fetter-Vorm but obviously didn't look at my shelves because I still have Space Opera from the last crate so I'll have to use that one!

I read Children of Ruin by Adrian Tchaikovsky. It is Book 2 in a series, so I also recommend Children of Time (Book 1). Both are really outstanding books.
