Jennifer | 4 comments TBR
1) The Magic Mountain by Thomas Mann
2) The Sorrows of Young Werther by Goethe
3) The Castle by Franz Kafka
4) The Metamorphosis and other stories by Kafka
5) Death in Venice and other stories by Mann

This might change. I’d like to have a woman writer in there somewhere, but these are the ones I already own so I’m prioritizing those.

Melanie | 115 comments Nice one. Nice fit in this list would be Vicki Baum and Irmgard Keun if you wanted a woman or two :)

Jennifer | 4 comments I’ve DNFed The Magic Mountain for now. Will try again in May. Will pick up something else soon - probably Imperium by Christian Kracht.

Jennifer | 4 comments Update - still paused on The Magic Mountain, DNFed Imperium

Finished Siddhartha! Liked it a bunch, maybe I loved it. Thought-provoking, but not super exciting.
