Stephanie Griffin | 8 comments 1. Visitation Loved this book and I look forward to reading more of Erpenbeck’s work!
2. The Watcher: A Novel of Crime Really good murder mystery. Lots of characters. Only some of them were interesting. The climax of the story was suspenseful and I had to stay up late to finish the book so I’d find out what happened!
3. Fraulein Schmidt and Mr Anstruther Uneven but I loved it anyway.
4. The Adventures of Maya the Bee
5. Why We Took the Car A great teenage adventure story! Highly recommend!
6. All Quiet on the Western Front

Melanie | 115 comments Oh wow, never thought of Maya The Bee, when I think of it, I always see the 70ies TV show, I grew up with. Curious to hear what you make of it.

Kirsten (kirsten0929) | 23 comments I just heard Jenny Erpenbeck interviewed on the BBC World Book Club podcast. Visitation sounds really interesting.

I was unaware of the show, but my daughter perked right up and asked if the book was like the show!
