Vanessa (thehispanicbookworm) | 338 comments The January 2020 book choices are up! What books are all of you getting?

message 2: by Tom (new)

Tom Henry I got The Sun Down Motel. Wasn’t crazy about reading another Thriller and was very tempted by Tightrope but I seem to like repeat authors and the review looked interesting.

Kayla • bookedblonde (kbgreen) Just received a membership as a gift and excited about my first box! I chose The Sun Down Motel.

Kristina I chose Things in Jars this month. It seems interesting. My goal this year is to actual read the books during the month I receive them so hopefully I'll finish this one by the end of the month.

Paola | 1 comments I just subscribed to BOTM and I chose Topics of Conversation for my January book.

MCZ Reads (mczreads) | 4 comments I thought I would get Topics of Conversation, but after reading the previews for each book, I choose Things in Jars instead.

Meera | 32 comments I chose The Sun Down Motel and Things in Jars. I had been introduced to Simone St. James by a previous BOTM book and I had liked it so much that I went ahead read most of her other books. So I am pretty excited about this new one. I chose the second book because it sounded fun.

Lezlie Gits | 21 comments I also chose The Sun Down Motel based on how much I enjoyed The Broken Girls. I also included the one Book of the Year nominee I hadn't read yet -- This Tender Land -- and Red, White and Royal Blue as an Add On. I started RWARB last night, and it is so cute!

Christine (cmtulledge) | 2 comments I am new to the BOTM and started with The Sun Down Motel. I found it to be creepy lol so far. Which is a fun change from the chic lit murder mysteries, kids books, or Bible self help I usually read. Anywho...I am not that far in....but I walked into my son's room when he was sleeping to put laundry away...and the wheels of his train were moving. LOL. It was not turned off...so logical...but totally freaked me out. Excited to have some quiet time at night this week to read more.

Me too! I have a million books on my kindle too. I have banned myself from the library and I have switched the kindle to text to speak so I can cover more ground. Is it weird that I like that better than audible? It annoys me when people reading on audible try to do voices. It makes me cringe.

Tom Henry In the interest of reining my book purchases in, I’ve made a list and currently have six TBRs from BOTM. That’s after I’ve completed two this month! My current BOTM TBR is The Reckless Oath We Made, The Family Upstairs, The Water Dancer, Daisy Jones & the Six, Rules of Civility, and Circe. I’ll need a vacation to get through all these!

Finished that last night! I really liked it, too. Have you read her previous book The Broken Girls? That one was also really good.

Brittney Schmidt (schmidtyoushouldread) | 68 comments No, I’ve never read that! I’ll have to add that to my list. I did add Dear Edward but undecided about my February book. What did you decide on?

message 17: by ♥ Sandi ❣ (new)

♥ Sandi ❣	I started the club just this month. I ordered two books - Dear Edward by Ann Napolitano and Things in Jars by Jess Kidd. I have not read either one yet, but plan to read Things in Jars this next week.

I can't wait for tomorrow so I can order another book...😁

Brittney Schmidt (schmidtyoushouldread) | 68 comments Hi Sandi! I added Dear Edward too! Books are up!! Let me know what you’re thinking for your February book!

message 19: by ♥ Sandi ❣ (new)

♥ Sandi ❣	Undecided about Feb Brittney. I am already reading American Dirt, so I am thinking The Holdout by Graham Moore.

I went with three. They're listed in our Feb 2020 topic. So much to catch up on, but I still get excited for the new ones. :-)
