Andrea | 32 comments I am listening to the audio book at the moment (german version) and really like the character Baba Dunja! But I think this is really to a huge part because of the narrator whose voice and interpretation fits so perfectly. I´m a bit more than halfway through and curious whether some changes will happen in Tschernowo and if we get to know what is in the letter by the granddaughter.
I also really enjoy the dark humour and want to read more by Bronsky like you.

I think the last part was a bit hurried and I did not really understand her reason to take all the blame. But all in all I really enjoyed the story, and like I already said, especially the audio format in this case.

If you love dark humour, then I highly recommend Hottest Dishes!

Majdouline | 30 comments Thank you for leaving a message in my list. Stefan Zweig is really amazing and no matter what you ll read from you will always find deep characters and I way to describe emotions which is exquisite. I have loved Beware of Pity, whereas my favorite novel from him is" The invisible collection" . You will have fun discovering Hesse ,Kafka and Mann. The Buddensbrooks is one my favorite book.
