Please keep in mind that spoilers are allowed in this thread but only up to the group's current reading place. Do not spoil the book if you've read further than the group. Any extra days can be used to catch up!

Finished today's reading - so far I'm intrigued!

Also I just really love Schwab's writing style (as always), it's so engrossing and evocative!

Im really intrigued as well! This is my first Schwab book.

Ooh awesome! I loved the Villains series and Cassidy Blake is cute!

I'm also intrigued by the types of monsters and their characteristics - - like August is a Sunai but what does that mean really?

August can take souls with music or something like that, at least that’s what I understood from it hahha. I did like the first little interaction between Kate and August and I can’t wait until they really get together.

I hope for me too! Hahaha I think most of her books have been for me (except A Conjuring of Light which was just disappointing!)

ohhhhh Kate found out that August is a monsterrr. I really like the relationship between them so far and I’m curious to see what happens now that she know he’s a monster but I need to sleep🤣

(view spoiler)[ Ahh I'm loving the developing friendship between Kate and August - I quite often find that characters' relationships seem forced but this seems so organic!

Also August is precious and needs to be protected at all costs!
