Mount TBR 2020 discussion

Shooting for a smaller amount this year. Last year I was shooting for 150, which I knew would be a bit too ambitious, and I got around 60 I think. This year I will try to push myself more than I did last year, but without over doing it.

And I'm sorry if there are mistakes or anything. I'm using the mobile app and it makes typing difficult. I hate the mobile app so much sometimes.

wow! I think my record is 82. I was going for 60 this year but upped it when I saw the El Toro lol. I've been sitting here in bed tonigjt after the new years getting some read time in.

I always have issues buying new books and then reading those, or getting books from the library. In the meantime my unread book pile at home keeps getting bigger and bigger. I think it's a problem a lot of people have. I'm hoping to buy less books this year and try to get at least some of my unread books read. I'm not sure how it will go. I'm going to check out more audiobooks from the library and listen when I'm busy and read the physical book during my downtime. Hopefully that will help.

People I want to Punch in the Throat by Jen Mann.

Pretty funny book. It's mostly about motherhood and living in the suburbs. I'm not a mother and I've never lived in the suburbs, so I couldn't relate to much. But it was still a funny and interesting read.

ya i love audio books when I crochet or cook dinner, drive etc. if I have the physical book and happen to find the audio version available digitally at my library I listen to it and pass the book along but I don't count it as a book read even tho it's leaving my shelf. sitting in my reading/craft room now looking at the rest of the books I need to shelve here on goodreads. ugh! And then there's the "upstairs books" but I'm in no hurry with those! I think I'll read a bit first!

A Higher Loyalty by James Comey

I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. Comey lays down the principles he believes a person needs in order to be a good leader. In the book he discusses how he has strived to always stand by his principles. He grows through times he has be pressured to stray from his morals and how he dealt with it.

I also liked hearing his side of the story and his thought process during the high profile investigations he was apart of.

I have both of these over 100 pages and bailed. I found neither book all that interesting. Neither were the kind of thing I usually read. I always try to Branch out. Sometimes it's worth, but other times it's not.

10. The Time of Contempt.
I did finish this one. I don't know why. I hated it just as much as the last book. I liked the short stories, but the series is just a whole lot of nothing. I doubt I will finish the series.
