8/209 books read (3.8% into goal)
Books Read

5. My Dad is the Galaxy's Prince Charming
6. Trueish Crime
7. The History of Mary Prince: A West Indian Slave
8. Coiling Dragon (DNF)
Thoughts: I need to step it up. College is busy, and I'm reading way less than I thought I would due to all the school reading. That said, I've read some fun books this month. The best was Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, and the worst was Cleopatra VII: Daughter of the Nile (which really wasn't very bad, just not as good as the others). My Dad is the Galaxy's Prince Charming was definitely the funniest. Mary Prince was hands down the saddest and hardest to read.

18. Tweet Cute
Thoughts: I read 10 books this month, so 2 more than last month, which is good. I really need to step it up, though. I'm on spring break this week, so hopefully that my reading will increase dramatically. Fingers crossed. My favorite manga this month were The Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts, because the art and story were really fun, and Best Actor's Life: Take Two, because it was so freaking cute and made me laugh and squeal and so on. It was awesome! My favorite novel was Tweet Cute, because it was such a breath of fresh air, with great humor and romance. My least favorite manga was One Punch Man, which was kind of boring and very meh, with art that didn't appeal to me. My least favorite novel was Prince Freya, because the main character cried so dang much. So lame!

Thoughts:
I've definitely upped my reading nicely this month, first with Spring Break, and now with returning home to start school online at the end of the month thanks to COVID-19 upending my university life, sadness. At any rate, I've read 30 books this month, which is great. In terms of manga, my favorite was Takane & Hana, which is both wildly hilarious and also very cute. In terms of high fantasy, Spin the Dawn was really great and I'm glad I finally finished it. I highly anticipate the sequel in the duology! In terms of urban fantasy, I'm tied between two awesome trilogies (one not yet completed, to be finished next month with book three), both with yummy vampire overlords and lots of humor, although one (KM Shea's) is clean and has an overall different tone, involving more supernaturals and a different dynamic between the main leads compared to the other trilogy (Supernatural Battle) which I devoured in two days and skipped class for, oops. That one had a dynamic involving practically never-ending betrayal and very hot sex scenes, as well as a human protagonist (versus Shea's wizard) and was a bit darker, although they both are to some extent. Anyway, both very good! I did DNF one book, which was boring and lame, and barely finished a disappointing light novel. The other graphic novels/manga I read were very sweet and easy reads (Pumpkinheads (graphic novel) and the Love in Focus (3 volume) manga series). And there was finally a new book in the Kat Makris series, which was an absolute riot, and answered a question I'd had since book one or two, yay! Another series I liked, with a gender-bent Loki, also released a new and highly entertaining book! And I read a fun fantasy romance webtoon on Tappytoon. All in all, great stuff.

67. The Prince of Tennis (volume 1)
68. Red, White, and Royal Blue
Thoughts:
Some good reads this month. I read 20 books. I had exams and COVID-19 was stressful (mostly exams, and also I was watching some anime) so I read less books this month than last month. My favorites were Crypts & Crimes (book 3 of Trixie Towers, with book 4 releasing in June!), Magic Unleashed (which finished K.M. Shea's new trilogy!), as well as The Extraordinary, the Ordinary, and SOAP! and Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle (volume 11). One of the Girls was also cute (sports romance, with a boy cheerleader), and The Fairy's Return and Other Princess Tales was pretty nostalgic. Reborn as My Love Rival's Wife was hilarious and very cute. On the not so good side, Airhead was rather juvenile and meh, unfortunately, and The Kingfisher Treasury of Princess Stories was a mixed bag. Saint Young Men and The Prince of Tennis were great finds, and I read all 379 chapters of the latter. Red, White, and Royal Blue was a satisfying reread.

Thoughts:
I didn't read much the first half of the month, but I did read a sweet web novel (contract marriage + childhood friends (but like, just friends back then, it's the shared past thing, okay?) + music careers as a singer and producer) and I finished a great manga on Tappytoon, which centered around an awesome main character and romance, plus showbiz. Can you see a trend, lol?
I read some manga I got for Easter, both of which were enjoyable, and a couple of picture books in my parents' bedroom at home. Also, a middle grade ARC about a ballerina and some fae which was cute, fun, and just a little bit spooky. And a TBR book, Princess Jellyfish, which was quite charming.
The real standout, to be honest, has been my reread of the Imp series, which I haven't read for about two years. They're really good, and at the time of writing this, I've reread six of them so far, with ten in the series, which did conclude (or so I thought, but a new book, more of a follow up than important for the overarching plot, I think, just released in April). Sam is wonderful, Gregory is my fave, and they're just downright hilarious!
In the last week of the month, I read lots of webtoons on WebComics, which ranged from decent enough to really enjoyable, as well as a good Chinese webnovel with an interesting plot and fun protagonist.
All in all, despite a slow start, some good reads this month. Nothing really disappointed me, which was great, and I got through some books on my list and from my piles. I read 25 books in total.

107/209 read (51.19% done)
95. Tearmoon Empire (volume 2)

104. Adelaide
105. With the Fire on High
106. The Genius Prince's Guide to Raising a Nation Out of Debt (Hey, How About Treason?) (volume 3)
107. No Doubt in Us
Thoughts:
I read 13 books this month, and they were mostly good. I DNFed one ARC I couldn't get into, but other than that things went well. I finished the Imp series, which was a lot of fun, as well as finishing Tearmoon Empire (volume 2) on J-Novel Club. That was also very good. On Tappytoon, Adelaide (finally) finished. I reread No Doubt in Us (on WebComics) which was a hell of a lot of awesomeness, and quite enjoyed With the Fire on High, which was a book on my want-to-read list that I bought from a local bookstore to support black authors/small businesses. I read it in one sitting and really enjoyed it. My most anticipated read was The Genius Prince's Guide to Raising a Nation Out of Debt (Hey, How About Treason?) (volume 3) which got pushed back two months because of COVID-19, and it was really really good, so that was great! All in all, pretty good reads. I wish I'd read slightly more, but it wasn't too bad. I got a k-drama done, lol.

Note: I'm not sure I'll get to 209 books, so I've brought it down to 179 as I'm not reading as many books as I thought I would. I'll increase it later in the year if I exceed this goal.

129. Doomed to Be Cannon Fodder (book 3)
130. Every Vicious Woman Needs a Loyal Man
Thoughts:
A bit of a mixed bag this month. There were some good webnovels (Very Happy; You're My Glory; A Slight Smile is Very Charming) and some more mediocre ones. Manga was overall quite enjoyable, for sure. I really enjoyed rereading Love Hina, and everything else was great, too. Gorgeous was a fun reread! Awesome book! There were a couple disappointing DNFs this month. That said, overall not too bad. I read 23 books, so quite a few!

137/159
131. Who Invited You?
132. Lazarillo de Tormes
133. Le Morte d'Arthur
134. The Letters and Other Writings
135. The Song of Roland
136. Party Crime
137. Moll Flanders
Thoughts: Lowered my goal again. I always read loads less during the school year, anyway. Really enjoyed the webtoon (Who Invited You?); the cultural/language barrier stuff in it, plus the translator thing, plus the adorable romance and pretty art, all combined into something fantastic! Party Crime was also a treat. Ignoring the cliffhanger, everything went swimmingly: my ship won out (goodbye, Melas!) and Kat and Xander had sex. It was also super funny and a nice way to unwind. I was reading loads of classics for a class that I was supposed to take this semester (now dropped as i hated all of them haha) and they all sucked. I'm writing this in mid-September, and have read next to nothing so far, which is tragic!
