Undead - MaryJanice Davidson [3/16] - 15/11 - I haven't read any of this series since I was in school! My tastes have changed.
Seraphina - Rachel Hartman [1/2] - 10/03 - Gutted because I wanted to love this book, but it was boring and mediocre. Not buying book 2.
Rosewater - Tade Thompson [1/3] - 01/05 - This was not a good reading experience for me. It was allover the place and I cared nothing for any of the characters. Can't bear to continue.
Malazan Book of the Fallen - Steven Erikson [1/10] - 30/09 - I might actually come back to this, just not the right time trying to fit it in between so many other books. Just felt like it was making sense, then all the characters changed and I couldn't get my head round it.
The Left Hand of God - Paul Hoffman [1/3] - 30/09 - This just wasn't a good book. The writing annoyed the hell out of me, enough so that I don't care to find out how the story continues.

Haha, I only managed to get the number down to 0 (not counting UTD) back in late 2018 'cause Niki and I made it into a race, and crushing my opponent was the best motivation xD
As if you actually managed to get to 0 though! That's so impressive! Even with competition I don't think I could do it. I think I need to look at abandoning some of the older series on my list. Or at least accepting that I would need to reread book 1, and so taking them off this list.

Well, I only had 6-7 open series when I joined this group in Jan 2018. Started a dozen or so series during the year, but most of them were BRs. So getting to 0 mainly required me to stick with my BR schedule, ruthlessly abandon some series, and stop starting new ones after October (I stocked up on standalones to prevent myself from starting a new series every time I wanted to read something new haha).
It took me doing this challenge for 3 years to finally get below 10 open series. Good luck with yours.

Siobhan, I'm currently reading Running with Sherman and I had to recommend it to you! Judging by your profile picture, I'm assuming you like donkeys. This is a nonfiction book about a donkey named Sherman. I've been listening to it on audio book and have not been able to stop smiling because it is so heart-warming!!

Hey Anni, I did intend to check with you that the 1st was convenient and kept forgetting to ask. I put the first on my tracker to remind me that Feb was the month but if you'd prefer a different start date my February is wide open. If you want to get a chunk of Starsight read before you start Gardens of the Moon you could even swap the start dates around?
