For BOTM - December, I would like to suggest The Heart Specialist by Claire Holdren Rothman. I may be finished with Memoirs of an Invisible Man by then.
I know it´s a little "old", and you guys have probably read it before, but here goes -

It was in 2018. But it could certainly be done as a buddy read for those who haven't read it yet (me included).😊
