12. Which single event had the greatest impact on the outcome? Why?
I think it would be his inability to go to school he joined the black society and his life went downhill.
5. How is the role of the supporting characters important to the story
The role of the supporting characters really make the Main character's decision, they make them question themselves etc.
16. What other story are you reminded of?
I can't really compare it to any other story I have read because this kind of theme is not what I usually read my first thought was Counting by 7’s but i miss remembered the story and it doesn't really connect to it.
MCKAYLA WILLIAMS
What can you say about the main character’s family?
The main character was tells about his grandfather who compares his war experience to his role in society as what was n=known as the “black man”.This cause the author to question his role in society and what he needed to become.
Where did the story take place?
The story took place in the south and Harlem New York
Why would you want to be the character’s friend? If not, why not?
I’d want to be the characters friend so he didn't feel so alone and lacked a purpose. I’d also want to be his friend to give him a sense of acceptance instead of falling in the hands of the wrong society group.

4: in what other time period could the story have taken place?
I think that this story could have taken place during any time period. It can be connected to any part of history and still be relevant.
10: Try to improve the story by adding or subtracting a character. How would this improve the story
I believe that it would not make a difference if the Trueblood family was removed because they were only not significant to the story. The dad went into too much detail on what had happened with his daughter and really was not necessary at all.
16: Would you like to live in the time period in which the story takes place? Why or why not?
No I would not. I love computers and the internet and almost everyone was racist. I am a brown Mecxian girl and would have been treated just as unfortunate as everyone who looked like me.

1. How does the author captures the reader's attention in the beginning of the story?
His explanations are very vague because he doesn't entice the character very much. For example when he is explaining why he us invisible he explains how he lives in a bright world but nobody ever notices him which makes the reader want to keep reading to see what is going to happen or what he means by that.
2. What is the color that describe the main character? Why?
The color that would describe the main character the most would be white/grey because white is kinda all the colors because its a very vague color which represents the main character because he is kinda all over the place. He isn't his own person. He would be grey because he is always being pulled all over the place. He isn't his own unique identity because he doesn't know who he is.
14. How might you describe the character to a blind person?
He is a black young male with a disembodied voice. Very respectful and forceful speaker. He is ambitious and hopeful and tends to hide from other black and white folks.
