Hey, Smaug, if I don't have a scanner, how can I upload my drawing for the competition? Is it okay if a take a picture? I have a real camera (not phone camera, like an actual camera) that takes great pictures. Can I use that?

P. S. That is what I used to take the other pics I uploaded to this site. For me, they came out pretty well.

Take a picture any way you like, Macey. Phone camera, normal camera, scanner, however. It all works.

I just needed to say that ahahhaha) I'll offer my own meek, much less amazing drawings when I can, but just a heads up: they are by no means even comparable to these ones!😂

You can do it, Penny! I was feeling the same way as you, but we should just do it and have fun! Who cares what people think? XD Okay, easier said than done, but I'm sure you'll do great. Believe in yourself!

And I'm so happy the first test is for ANIMAL because my cat is just begging to be drawn. (Not literally). And it shouldn't be too hard to get him to pose because he's unconscious 22 hours of every day. You just watch, I bet the picture will be of him sleeping! 😆

The deadline is 1/10/2020, so January 10th, in the morning of Mountain Standard Time. I don't know if I'll be on Goodreads at any given time, so I have to keep the clock time a bit vague. But if you manage to slip in an entry on the tenth before I post the end of the contest, good for you.

That's when the polls come up. If your entry does not say that it is for the contest (like my animal people, because they aren't), then it won't be included in the poll. Sorry :(

So if you post an entry, MAKE SURE IT SAYS "GRAPHICAL DRAWING CONTEST" IN THE DESCRIPTION. ANY posts without that will NOT be included in the poll.

After my above comments regarding eating rabbits I felt I shouldn't vote for Lana's bunny, so I'm deeply glad he won anyway. My big dilemma was Dog Dude or Buck. And they tied for second. I couldn't be happier about the results. Congratulations to all the winners.

HOWEVER, MONTY is in the mood of moods for not winning. I keep telling him that nobody has anything against him personally. But if I were you, I'd steer clear of my place for a while. 😼

So apparently the poll was to BREAK the tie for hair vs scenery, but...it's still a tie. XDD

And you draw it like a blank manikin, a head and neck and shoulders except leave it blank, without any features or shapes. Almost like displaying a wig on those foam little heads you can get at walmart :D

Lana, because Smaugly is cool and I think on the inside of his professionalism he's actually super funny and cool to hang out around XD Also I like teasing him. Idk why!!

*laughs* I think also since he's a bit of a serious and deep thinking pessimist, for some reason it's peoples instinct to come up with cuddly sounding names XD lol.

I can't tell you how I feel winning the Hair drawing contest.
It made me cry when I read Smaug's announcement.
My brother was so amazingly talented that I never drew or did artistic things through my WHOLE life, even though I wanted to inside. I started in my late 40's making/doodling on greeting cards.
Then last year when I was paralyzed the young lady in the bed next to me GAVE me her adult coloring book and crayons/markers so I could try and get my hands moving again. But even with the physiotherapists giving their okay, they said there was no point, because my hands would never work again properly anyway.

So by being told my whole life I had no artistic talent, then being paralyzed and not even able to do it just for fun, I thought drawing or coloring was over with. A dream just to be able to draw a picture that would never come true. No talent. No hands!
Then to actually win a contest ...
What CAN I say?!
Thank you Jesus for loving me enough to bring me into the midst of these good and talented children of yours. Amen!

Aww that's really sweet!! I can't imagine what it would be like to go through that, but you're honestly so strong. Keep up your courage and keep fighting!!
