I'm excited to see what themes you come up with. New beginnings, resolutions, new years celebrations around the world, holocaust memorial, there are so many. I wait with bated breath. 😁

Keli, if you have some ideas, let's hear them! I'm trying to come up with some original challenge ideas!

Shall I do them for feb? Or other months?
For Feb: Obvious ones are valentines and Lent. Less obvious, unless you're American, is black history month. Barnes and Noble was all over twitter today with their new POC covers for classics, which aren't actual retellings. Rather than promote black classics like Their Eyes Were Watching God or Native Son, we got instead a black Dorothy on the cover but the same old Dorothy inside. 😔 So black author's is great. We could theme it even further with régional specifications, like North America the first week, South America the second, Europe in week three and Asia/Pacific in week 4.
Valentine's is trite I know but it could be fun. A poem of the day challenge. Or something based on obscure saints, like Saint Julian of Norwich. We could have a challenge where the book is set in the middle ages with a female lead, or features relics or saints.
Lent starts at the end of the month, so books about abstention or sacrifice.
And of course it's leap year this year, so books that take place within a day or, if we stretch it a bit, sci-fi

And if you want to back date January, I think Holocaust memorial day is a good one. We could read books about the atrocity or by survivors.
All ideas sound fabulous!! Do you know how to create a new challenge on our homepage? If so, please go for it!! I added a 10 Best Books of the Past Decade Challenge a few days ago -- let me know what you think of it if you get a minute!!
