Did anyone feel satisfied/dissatisfied by the ending

Anastasia Kinderman | 9 comments It was definitely interesting. I liked how the guy with the limousine is kind of humbled. Served him right.

Carolien (carolien_s) I enjoyed it overall, but I think the characters can be developed further. I've read two of his later books and they have a stronger plot line than this one. I'd be interested in reading more of his books to see how he developed as a writer.

John Mountford (killmandela) | 735 comments I think Zake's created a unique character in Toloki, but lacked the skill as a new writer to develop a worthy narrative around him. Perhaps we should read one of his later novels sometime in the future for comparison?

That would be a good idea. I have The Madonna of Excelsior on my shelf and would love to read The Sculptors of Mapungubwe.

Sculptors would be my choice.
