Are you allowing yourself to re-read books for the topics? Or are you choosing to do all new books you haven't read before? And are you allowing one book to fill multiple categories?

Anne K. (clulle) I allow re-reads, but only for 10 of the books (20%), mostly to “force” myself to read something new (or from my ‘to read’-list). And for me, a book can not fill multiple categories :-)

Sonya (thelibrarianin3b) | 18 comments I think there are going to be a lot of rereads for me this year since one of my reading goals is to finish my unfinished series. Since it's been so long for some (I'm talking years in between) I'm going to have to re-read.

Summer (speaking_bookish) (speaking_bookish) | 6 comments I’m trying to fit one book for each challenge but I’m not going to be super strict on that. If one book fits two challenges, especially if I can’t think of another title to fit one of them then I’ll use the one book. As for rereads... I always do so many rereads every year. This year I’m trying to do less while also rereading four of my favorite series lol. It is hard when books come out so far apart and you can’t remember all the fine details!

Brandi Smith | 5 comments If I’m doing a challenge like this, I don’t count re-reads or anything I started before the beginning of the challenge. My husband and I kind of enabled each other on books so he is always a good source for some thing new, I also check my libraries recommendations and google. A lot of google

So for me, I'm doing a mixture of new books and re-reads because I love my favorite series and like to read them once a year! However, this year I'm also going back and re-reading books I haven't touched in longer than 5 years or so, so for some of them it's like a new read because I have forgotten a lot. I'm not going to have them cover 2 topics, because my goal is 100 books this year so 50 books for this challenge will be half of my overall goal.

I will be re-reading some books. I allow re-reads for reading challenges as long as I read the book in it's entirety during the challenge. There are some books I have enjoyed reading so much I look forward to reading them again as soon as I finish!
