I've just started reading the book - I'm only a few hundred locations in and it's clear from the opening scene that this is not a fantasy set in a Eurocentric world. I'm really looking forward to this book ...

Michael I finished this a few days ago. I enjoyed it - it's a fairly easy read, and it's nice to read something other than pseudo dark ages Europe.

Michael Wow - nobody's reading this...

Maggie K I am! Im about 3/4 of the way through and enjoying it a lot....

Andrew✌️ (andrew619) | 24 comments I started this book today (I know, I'm late) and it's amazing. It reminds me novels like 'One Thousand and One Nights', with a bit of mystery and the classical fight of good vs evil.
I read about 30% and, till now, I'm very satisfied.

Maggie K I liked it a lot! Quite out of the ordinary....

Andrew✌️ (andrew619) | 24 comments I've finished this evening. It's an incredible book, set in a magical land and I'm looking forward to read the next one.

Andreea Pausan | 19 comments The book is incredible because it brings a fresh breath into a fantasy book. The world is split into various regions and you can notice when you pass from one to another because the sky changes. Furthermore, it mixes seamlessly murder, politics and magic in a story with an oriental feel of open spaces, djiin, revenge and love. And you've got to love Adoulla: as much as he enjoys his quiet cup of tea, he turns out to be a fearsome warrior.

Sam I'm a bit late finishing but I enjoyed it. As Andrew said it's got a bit of mystery and the fight of good and evil. Nice to have a different sort of fantasy.
