Welcome to our Spring seasonal read-a-thon. This read-a-thon runs from March 20, 2020 - June 20, 2020.

For every book that you read with a title starting with one of the letters in the bonus word give yourself 1 point, if any section (first, middle, last) of the author's name starts with a letter in the bonus word give yourself 2 points. The most you can have for any one book is 3 bonus points, 1 for title and 2 for author.

For example (if WINTER were our bonus word):

Nothing Lasts Forever by Sidney Sheldon = 1 point for title
OR
Fire in the Blood by Dale Ibitz = 2 bonus points for author last name
OR
Winter Swans by Danica Winters = 1 point for title, 2 points for author = 3 bonus points

Be sure to tally your pages and bonus points separately. The top 3 people with the most bonus points at the end of the challenge will get to choose a bonus word for the next quarter. NOTE: Bonus point winners cannot win in two read-a-thon's in a row, to give more people the chance to choose bonus words.

I was thinking of simply listing the months with book titles, number of pages, the bonus word points and total points for each month and then a grand total of bonus points and total points. Since I already invested time, I will finish this seasonal read a thon this way and think about the other way for the next time.

Can you see my OCD is kicking in?

i feel like the method you suggest might be much more organized. i feel quite disorganized with my current method.

I love to organize and agree this could be quite confusing with a massive post. I keep a list of books I’ve read and a total number of pages I finished in longhand in one of my notebooks. Then every week I will enter what I’ve done from my notebook to my computer,

Are we supposed to keep track of how pages we read each day? Because i cant do that. I usually have multiple books going. Plus, if im reading an ebook, I'll read it on my tablet at home, but if I'm waiting for my wife, i pull out my phone and read a few pages. But tablet pages are different then phone pages. I'm homeschooling a 3rd grader, working part time at a cafe, work for instacart, and have 3 different online gigs.

I only keep track of finished books, and total pages at the end. To be honest the important aspect is the bonus word and bonus points. No need for daily updates. However, if daily updates is what someone wants to do, they can.

I'm closing my list early because I don't plan on staying online much this weekend!
