Our first book in 2020 was "The Diviners" by Libba Bray!

Since this is the first time that we have discussed a book on Goodreads, here is how it will work. Under this main post I will be posting the discussion questions as comments. If you want to answer that question, reply to the comment.

Did you finish the book? If not are you planning to finish it?

How did you feel about the time period it takes place in? Do you normally read or enjoy books set in the past?

What did you think about the twenties slang used through out the books?

How did you feel about the pacing of this book? Too slow, too fast, just right?

Do you think it benefited the story to take place in the 1920's or do you think it should have been set in more of a modern time period?

What did you think about our main character, Evie? Did you like her, love her, loathe her?

In this book we come across many different supernatural abilities. Which of them would you rather have? And if you could have ANY supernatural ability (whether it appeared in this book or not) what would it be?

Why did you think Evie was so against being sent back home to Ohio?

Let's talk romance! My favorite part of any book! How did you feel about it? Was it necessary to have a romance? Did you enjoy it? And, more importantly, are you #TeamJericho or #TeamSam?

Did this book creep anyone out? And if so, what was the creepiest part?

The rights to turn this book into a TV Show or film was bought in 2012. No idea what they are waiting for, but we may have something we can watch in the future!
