Daisy | 1399 comments Can I just say, I really like the cover of this book. It might be one of the best. All the cobwebs and the door and stuff makes it feel like a haunted house, and Ivy looks really cool in her uniform. Olivia ... not so much. I love the black colour - I'm sure Ivy would say it's about time there was a black cover, and I agree! It's so timeless and different to the rest. Love it.

Sophie | 1254 comments I admire Ivy so much through this whole Wallachia situation. After thinking about how she hadn't wanted to leave Franklin Grove but had been persuaded she decides...
"I'll make the most of this," she muttered to herself, gazing out over the lawns. "Whatever it takes."
She gave it her best shot, she tried something she wasn't sure about, kept an open mind and in the end decided it wasn't for her. That is so cool. She said something (I can't find the exact quote) about realising that she couldn't change Wallachia and if she stayed Wallachia would change her in a way she didn't want.

She didn't just dismiss it without trying and she didn't go through with it just because it was what her grandparents wanted. Go Ivy! She believed in herself, enough both to give it a try and to trust herself in the end. I love that girl.
