Romance Audiobooks discussion

This challenge will help you reduce your TBR shelf and get to know some of our members better.

Here’s how it works
1. Each month we will randomly select a member to be our group focus.
2. The challenge will be to listen to at least two books from her/his shelf that are rated at least 4 stars and is on your TBR shelf (re-listens are acceptable).
3. Use the Goodreads compare tool to filter the ratings from high to low to make your selections easier. Change the shelves to “to-read” for you and “read” for her/him for best results.
4. The challenge will be from February 1 - February 29, 2020

Introduced myself to Rachel Caine last year and fell in love with her novels. Nice choice.

Rachel Caine is battling cancer. I follow her on Twitter and she's been through so much already and just received more bad news. I worry that we could lose her way too soon. I love her books and she seems like a wonderful person. I know she is appreciative of all prayers.

Here's her a couple of her latest posts on her situation:
I’ve been debating on how to talk about this, but I’ll just say it: biopsy came back yesterday, and my sarcoma is back. Surgery is now off the table, for good reasons. But there’s a solid shot that the PARP inhibitors and the Keytruda infusion will help, maybe even stop it

My prognosis is clouded right now, but we’re working the plan. I have four more PARP inhibitors to try if the current one doesn’t work, then 3 clinical trial programs. So I’m okay for now. But b/c of the course of treatments, probably not many appearances in 2020.

I loved the Graveyard Series!! It's unique & a little strange & a bit creepy & it's just wonderful! lol I've been thinking about it recently & would love to relisten to it someday when I have more time.

I also enjoyed Lethal by Sandra Brown, Christina. She's one of my fav authors too.

Hi Shan - just finished LJ Shen "In the Unlikely Event" and enjoyed it much.

I've finished both of my book choices! Can't believe I did it and so quickly! Being selected Listener of the Month was such an honor and inspiration. Thank you, Samantha & Jonetta, for choosing me. I'll be checking out each Listener of the Month & use it as the motivation I need to do more books on audio!

Loved both & ! I thought Fatal was the best one of the series in some time!

I was thinking the same about Fatal Accusation. It was much more realistic.

Yes, it was. I'm writing my review. One of the main things for me was Samantha's maturity level - in FA she came across much better that in recent books where she felt childish at times.

Oh, that's awesome! My shelves are in need of a serious cleaning which I'll do "someday". haha But I do enjoy & read a wide variety of genres.
