What book(s) did all of you select?

I think I'll go with You Are Not Alone

American Dirt. I was hoping BOTM would offer it.

I got three:

The Girl with the Louding Voice
You Are Not Alone
and, yes, despite all the controversy, American Dirt

The Barnes & Noble Book Club chose American Dirt for March, and I'm very curious to read it for myself. I would also like to read a couple of the books that critics have offered up as alternatives.

I feel very conflicted after reading Good Reads Reviews.. I too was thinking American Dirt or You Are Not Alone.. thoughts?

I’m doing American Dirt to participate in the Barnes & Noble discussion in March throughout their stores.

I haven't decided yet, but I am leaning towards The Holdout by Graham Moore. I would grab American Dirt, but I am already reading that.

I chose You Are Not Alone and The Holdout and completely staying away from American Dirt. Will be curious what people think of it.

The controversy over it will make me a highly critical reader and since I mostly read for enjoyment it’s easier for me to just avoid it.

I picked You Are Not Alone and added on Ask Again, Yes

I chose The Girl With the Louding Voice, You Are Not Alone and The HoldOut. I just purchased American Dirt on audio despite the controversy because I want to read it for myself and then some others that #ownvoices recommend.

I picked The Holdout and added on Anna K.: A Love Story. I was torn about American Dirt because I'm curious to read it despite the controversy, however, I've read reviews that said it's mediocre at best and the writing isn't great. I'll be curious to see what you all think about it!

I’m so upset.. I finally got my box yesterday.. my February pick was in there (American Dirt) but they put the wrong add on in there.. I picked Dear Edward and they sent The Last Time I Lied.. and now it’s showing that Dear Edward is sold out.. has this ever happened to anyone? I reached out to them last night so I’m waiting on a response. Thanks in advance!

I chose "The Hold Out," and I'm dying to read it! I haven't been this excited about a book in a long time. Eeeeeeee

I chose Dear Edward, A Good Girl's Guide to Murder and Red, White and Royal Blue. I already have The Holdout and You are Not Alone in NG's or I would have picked them.
